Client Blog: Siobhan & Scott’s Honeymoon at Trou aux Biches Beachcomber in Mauritius

I was honoured to be chosen to arrange Siobhan and Scott's honeymoon shortly after being introduced and knew intuitively that the delightful Trou Aux Biches in Mauritius would tick all their boxes.

Here's what the newlyweds had to say about their amazing trip...

We couldn’t have wanted more from our special honeymoon trip. Jo organised everything to absolute perfection - all we had to do was show up!

We were married in springtime and travelled to Mauritius for the first time via a 3-night restful stay at the Ritz Carlton Dubai.

Jo had arranged private transfers throughout, an appreciated touch that always makes a big difference to us and provides a sense of calm after travelling.

We stayed at the Trou aux Biches Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa. Jo had picked up on an additional special deal available to us only the day before we travelled which we gladly accepted. This was a spot-on decision enabling us to upgrade to a totally amazing room with its own plunge pool.

We ate in all the restaurants within the resort complex, each one different and outstanding in its own way. The Indian restaurant was truly exquisite with a live band playing traditional Indian music creating a wonderful ambience.

We equally loved our time out and about - there is so much to do in Mauritius.

Our transfer driver that collected us upon arrival had offered to take us on a tour of the island the following day. We were so pleased we did it - it was our favourite trip of the holiday by far. He took us cashmere shopping (much cheaper than UK prices), sampling local delicacies and we visited several local religious focal points. It was amazing to see the country through his eyes and his English - like most of the locals we met - was amazing.

We ventured out on other occasions by reasonably priced taxis taking in the capital Port Louis, Chamearel and the seven coloured earths, La Vallee Des Couleurs Nature Park and highly recommend a visit to the rum and sugar cane plantation where we picked up some outstanding vanilla rum. Seeing dolphins in their natural habitat was another incredible experience.

The weather was beautiful throughout our holiday and literally the only additional thing that we would have wanted was to have stayed longer!

Every bit of the trip was just outstanding.

We have vowed to visit again for our 25th wedding anniversary and to take our family with us. Jo better be booking this trip too!
